Our adhesive back sleeves are meant to permanently act as a holder for posting bills, notices, or memos on a broad range of surfaces. This would allow change of memos without damaging the material itself or the surface it is placed on. It would also make it easy to replace old postings with ease. Our adhesive backed (sticky back) envelopes and sleeves have been made using pressure sensitive adhesives which allow the item to stay put through most normal conditions. In adhesive backed sleeves, adhesive is applied to the backing of vinyl sleeves and pockets. These come in a variety of sizes, colors, and thicknesses, but are generally made in 6 mil to 10 mil clear plastic. In order to provide support, the adhesive backing most commonly used is made of 4 mil (or gauge) plastic. As is true with many vinyl products, the application is what determines the finish of the material. Clear or polished clear vinyl is used most often for presentation materials, document storage, and collector pieces.
